Verdict
A mixture of abilities in a race that has been won by some huge-priced winners in recent years. Captain Cee Bee is obviously better known as a high-class jumper these days but he's always had plenty of pace and will think he's on holiday with this weight. One Cool Shabra didn't have much luck over timber but it was a different matter when returned to the Flat at Clonmel where he made all for a very convincing victory. However, a massive 12lb rise could stop him in his tracks while Sky Pilot, though winning nicely at Limerick last time, was reported to want good or fast ground which he won't get here. Scots Gaelic will be staying on when others have had enough but Jimmy Lambe produced a shock when Silk Hall won this last year and can repeat the process with SIR ECTOR. Three times a winner on the Flat in France he was beaten a short-head over hurdles at Down Royal a month ago and looks to be on a fair mark on his return to the level.
