    Verdict

    GOOD HEAVENS looked the likely winner when taking the lead inside the final furlong at Killarney but was caught close home by Shark Bay. Compensation awaits here as stable companion Federal, a debut winner at Leopardstown two years ago, hasn't been seen since finishing last in a Curragh Listed race in May of last year. Leopardstown handicap winner Amanirenas is progressive and likely to improve on her current rating of 72 though like Ballinrobe maiden winner Kirati Beach has a mountain to climb on official figures.
