WOOD RANGER had some strong juvenile form and returned to action in a 6f premier handicap at Naas where he led for a long way. He had Swiss Ace and Linda Barrett behind and dropping down in trip won't be a problem, though neither of the latter pair got the best of runs and should finish closer. The Highway Rat led from the start and recorded a seven-length victory at Dundalk for which he's been raised an incredible 19lb. Betrayed, who was on a hat-trick at the track, was beaten nine lengths but should get much closer on the revised terms. The speedy Shelly Banks looks best of the remainder on her handicap debut.
