In depth

Verdict

Weekend Offender, four times a winner on the Flat for Kevin Ryan and rated 94, is an interesting newcomer to hurdles for Eoin Doyle, as is the former Andrew Balding winner Make It Up, who is rated 109 but hasn't run since October 2015. The latter's yard looks to have a better chance with Bensachuine, who has done better since facing quicker ground. TURBO (NAP) won a Downpatrick bumper before making his hurdling debut over 2m5f on the same track where he led until making a bad mistake at the last. He would have won but for that blunder and can gain compensation.
