In depth

Verdict

This revolves around THE BALLYLINE MAN, who has a first run under Rules for the champion trainer. The gelding has not been seen for 420 days when coming home eight lengths behind Captain Teague in a Knockanard point-to-point and the form looks very strong as his conqueror finished an excellent third in the Cheltenham Champion Bumper last month. Will Do looks the likeliest threat for Gordon Elliott, with Ballystone next best. Captain's Pick is a noted newcomer and the market should tell the story with him.
