In depth

Verdict

Gavin Cromwell could hold the key here with Bottleofsmoke, a minor handicap winner at Wolverhampton in March, and RIPPED. The latter looks the one to be on as though he's still a maiden he looked as though his turn was imminent when, after attracting strong support, he just failed to peg back the leaders over slightly shorter at Limerick. Mademoiselle Penny made a promising return to action at Dundalk last month, leading for much of the way until lack of a sharp edge took its toll in the closing stages. She's on the same mark as her last victory so is greatly respected while it's very unusual to see a runner from the Jim Bolger yard on a mark of 50 so Traidisiun may be capable of better. Ask Katie won here in October, though over a shorter trip, while Aussie Guest is the only course and distance winner, though that was over two years ago and he hasn't won since.
