In depth

Verdict

The veteran Akram was a clear-cut winner over 1m2f at Fairyhouse last month and, though hit with a 10lb rise, is likely to remain competitive. Little Green is better known as a hurdler but made a fair handicap debut on the Flat behind the in-form Inis Meain at Killarney and shouldn't be long winning on the level. SHEILAS WISH was also behind Inis Meain last time at Leopardstown but had anything but a clear run. She had earlier produced an improved effort at Sligo and, as she's mainly consistent and on a fair mark, can gain her first ever victory. Peinora created a surprise when scoring at Tipperary as she'd shown virtually nothing previously. The assessor certainly hasn't overreacted with just a 5lb rise and she looks the main threat. Argentinian Tango and All About Alfie are others to consider in an open contest.
