In depth

Verdict

The 2007 Champion Hurdler Sublimity has won only once subsequently - the Grade 1 Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown a year ago - and he's had a wind operation to cure breathing problems. He's basically in a different league to these over timber and ran quite well for a long way on his comeback behind Solwhit in the Punchestown Hurdle in November but the in-form ON THE WAY OUT may just have the edge here. John Kiely's charge ran very well behind Jumbo Rio at Punchestown on Friday and an earlier effort behind Donnas Palm in a Grade 2 at Tipperary points to his chances. The last time Newmill ran over hurdles he was a long way behind Solwhit at Gowran in February 2009 and this once brilliant chaser is now a teenager. He has generally needed a run to put him straight in the past and no doubt will be seen back over fences in the near future. Kilflora is unsuited by the race conditions and Run For Sol will be having only his second start since arriving from France in 2008.
