In depth

Verdict

Crazyheart scored between the flags last February then made a very promising start over timber at Wexford in October so it's a surprise to see him in a bumper. JOEY SASA looked in need of the experience at Navan last month and it was only in the later stages he gave way. Today's better ground will help and Nina Carberry's presence in the saddle is an obvious bonus. Thirsty Work finished a short-head in front of him that day but had much more experience and the positions can be reversed. Lake Malawi was beaten a long way in the same event and looks held so the main threat may emerge in the shape of Willie Mullins' newcomer Miguel Angel, the first foal of a mare who won over hurdles and fences in France.
