Verdict

CLARABELLO made a couple of mistakes at crucial stages at Wexford but was staying on and will be suited by the extra so gets the nod. Winning point-to-pointer Direct Fire was well supported when tackling 2m4f at Thurles but weakened quickly from the last after being up with the pace. John Ryan has three entries and Danny Mullins' presence suggests Presenting Bonnie could prove best of the trio and she won't need to improve much in this poor contest. Call Me Merry, a winner between the flags, has improved with each run over timber and though ideally suited by further can get into contention while another winning point-to-pointer, First Touch, ran well enough on his hurdling bow at Navan to be given a chance.
