In depth

Verdict

ROSS NA RIGH did quite well over hurdles but looks as though he'll be much better over fences as he made the very useful Oscar Dan Dan pull out the stops on his chasing bow at Navan. He'll have learnt from that experience and faces nothing of the winner's quality here. Winning point-to-pointer Too Wild For Der made a fair debut over regulation fences at Tramore and is another on the upgrade though whether he would have finished in front of Souvenir Royal if that one hadn't fell at the second last is debatable. Referent, who wasn't far behind that day, looks held and has since been beaten at Limerick. Winning point-to-pointer The Rossmeister ran well on his latest start on his chasing bow but that was back in October 2010.
