Verdict
Kemboy won this last year for Willie Mullins, who saddles DOUVAN to his long-awaited return to action. Last seen finishing second to Un De Sceaux in the Champion Chase at Punchestown last year, he was travelling strongly in the Cheltenham version won by Altior when falling four out on his previous start. The winner of 14 of his 18 races including eight Grade 1's, he's never raced over a trip beyond 2m1f but is thrown in under the race conditions and should make a successful reappearance. Monalee beat Gold Cup hero Al Boum Photo in last year's Grade 1 Flogas Novice Chase over 2m5f at Leopardstown and he's a very smart performer over this sort of trip while Peregrine Run continues to thrive having won six times since May though he wouldn't want any further rain. Jett finished a long way behind the latter at Gowran last month before gaining a surprise victory in a Punchestown Grade 3 when Tout Est Permis was beaten 7l though the latter looked in need of the run.
