GENERAL CLERMONT couldn't get close to the winner in a course and distance handicap last month but that was easily his best run to date and tis looks a moderate contest. Saucy Yeats was well beaten at the same fixture but had produced a much better run at Tramore earlier while Karakhan was in the lead at this trip before fading when tackling 2m3f at Limerick. Kilkenny Star showed some promise at the same fixture and wouldn't need to improve much to get into contention.
