In depth

Verdict

PYLONTHEPRESSURE, successful between the flags and a dual bumper winner, was beaten when odds-on in both starts over timber last season but came up against better rivals than he's likely to face here and can gain his first success over timber. Kagney looked impressive when landing a Downpatrick bumper so it was a disappointment when he was beaten over hurdles at Punchestown though he will have learnt plenty from that. Cresus De Grissay attempted to make all in a maiden hurdle at Wexford and only succumbed in the closing stages so he has to be respected along with Criminate, who has improved with each run over the minimum trip when looking in need of further.
