David Wachman has won this four times in the past seven years and with the stable in very good form the Montjeu filly Wooden Heart has to be respected, especially on soft ground. Deontas was highly tried in her first campaign and came up against subsequent winners when fourth behind Edelpour at Gowran last month where she found 1m4f stretching her stamina. She should do better than stablemate Leafy Approach, who found 7f inadequate at Gowran, but both Love Letter and PIANOLA did enough on their debuts to suggest either could make enough progress and it's the latter, who stayed on nicely behind a stable companion over 7f on her debut, who gets the verdict.
