The maiden Green Art has run well in two previous attempts at this trip but his form has shown a gradual deterioration since early summer and he's passed over here, despite being best in at the weights according to official figures. Preference is for MAAL, who has done nothing wrong since scoring at Sligo in June and represents a stable in fair form. The seven-year-old is partnered by the promising Leigh Roche, who has also been among the winners lately, and is one of only two in this field to have previously won at this trip. Blackwitch Woman's hat-trick bid was thwarted at Wexford last week and she has to concede weight all round here but the mare has been a grand servant to connections and should at least grab some place money again today.
