          Verdict

          This event has provided rich pickings for European runners down the years with Ouija Board winning it twice and Midday registering the latest success in 2009. However, this year's renewal is fancied to go to the recent French import STACELITA. A multiple Group 1 winner for Jean-Claude Rouget, she's carried on the good work since joining Chad Brown during the summer and, after a pipe-opener, has won her last two starts in Grade 1 company. She beat Dubawi Heights at Arlington in August and today's rival has won Grade 1 races herself either side of that defeat. The selection was making her seasonal debut in June when behind Announce at Longchamp and the latter found Nahrain too good in a Group 1 at last month's Arc meeting. Roger Varian's unbeaten filly is rapidly improving and looks the strongest European challenger ahead of Misty For Me, who has two Group 1s to her name but may prefer some cut in the ground.
