      Verdict

      PLATINUM has a penalty for last week's comfortable win at Musselburgh but Philip Kirby's charge has been in great form under both codes recently and makes more appeal than fellow hat-trick seeker Zenafire, who has gone up 7lb since winning over 1m4f here at the start of the month. He can win again before being reassessed. Moidore has been quite highly tried this year but gets little respite from the handicapper while Softsong and Kashgar are probably also worth opposing, but the three-year-old Statutory is worth a try over this long trip as is Sir Bedivere. Twelve Strings is capable at this level but his best form is on softer ground.
