A trappy affair and NEVER ENDING TALE is our pick with Porthole and Bigfanofthat as the dangers. Never Ending Tale does not appear the most straightforward of characters but the Lingfield all-weather winner did put up an improved run at Beverley on his latest start and with fewer miles on the clock than most, he could be worth another chance. It would be folly to ignore anything Barry Hills sends out so Porthole is watched closely in the market. He has been able to make the pace in the past, as he demonstrated at Windsor in June, so expect to see Michael Hills make plenty of use from a good draw. Prince Kalamoun has paid the penalty for two recent victories and will have to run a career best to give weight all around. Nightjar is stepped up in trip. Navajo Joe simply cannot be as bad as that Ascot run suggests. Dauberval has yet to confirm that he has trained on from his juvenile days. Sweet Sara and Grey Command both need to find improvement. Never Ending Tale gets the call.
