An interesting finale to the card and Chantress is expected to expand upon an already impressive strike-rate from Mark Johnston's team this season. There are dangers aplenty though and cases can be made for all five of her rivals - with Flighty Fellow expected to confirm the form with Hov to come out as the main danger today. Barry Hills' Not Amused is also respected and will strip fitter for this after a blow out at Newbury a fortnight ago. However, the Indian Ridge gelding is far from the strongest runner Hills has ever sent to the Roodeye and he may have to settle for a minor role today. In contrast to Chantress, who has already boosted her paddocks value with a smooth success at Carlisle before running respectably over 12 furlongs at Salisbury in her latest start. The daughter of Pientre Celebre fits a familiar profile and she can be confidently be expected to cope with this step up in trip. She can also be relied upon to give her all under the in-form Joe Fanning and may prove to be too progressive for Flight Fellow and Hov, who are hard to separate on their recent form but are more than capable of completing the frame today.
