Verdict

Anything Barry Hills sends to Chester usually comes in for plenty of support so an early plunge on Asia Winds would not be the most surprising move of the day. So those playing with the early percentages have the opportunity to take the first show on the daughter of Machiavellian and factor in another selection for a little extra interest should they so wish. And the usually consistent Miss Mytton could be the one to spoil the party for the Hills team today - although Sew'n'so Character should also be capable of getting involved despite having to concede weight all round. However, Miss Mytton, who was unlucky not to win on her previous visit to this course, receives plenty of weight from the top two on the racecard and has a good enough draw to gain a handy position at an early stage. Her tendency to give ground at the start is off-set by the step up in trip, and the distance could be the vital key to her chance today. The half-sister to US Grade 3 winner Blood Sister has shaped as if in need of the extra furlong and has plenty in her favour to be recommended on the grounds of value here. Asia Winds, on the other hand, has not done too much wrong in her four previous outings but looks harshly treated on a mark of 87 considering that she only beat a rival rated 72 by a length and a quarter at Newbury last time. Fillies sometimes have their own agenda at this time of the year and she is saver material in a very competitive heat.
