Probably the toughest handicap of the day to solve and WYATT EARP is selected to land it ahead of the likes of Makshoof and Earlsmedic. Wyatt Earp is closely weighted with Earlsmedic based on their clash at Newmarket last month. The stiff six furlongs at Newmarket probably found out Richard Fahey's charge last time. With all these handicappers in good recent form it is hard to split them but Makshoof relished testing conditions at Haydock last time. Given his effectiveness on testing ground one would be entitled to question Makshoof's ability to handle a livelier surface but he seems perfectly adaptable. Haajes landed a gamble for connections last time and could be well-handicapped even under his 6lb penalty. His three wins have been achieved over five furlongs which is a worry given the fast pace which should come about here. A line is best put through Crying Aloud's last run as she stood still in the stalls. The big plus with her is that she is versatile with regard to tactics as her victories have been achieved both from on and off the pace. This is ultra competitive and luck in running will be a necessity for many but Wyatt Earp is admirable consistent and continues to run to his mark.
