KAY ES JAY, second last time out at Salisbury has dropped to a lenient mark and shaped last time as if she is about to strike in the not too distant future. A smart juvenile last season, Kay Es Jay has taken time to establish a true level of form. At Salisbury last time, riders appeared unsure as to where the best of the ground was and those that opted to go far side were unfavourably suited but Kay Es Jay was staying on in a taking manner and the form of Barry Hills string is a further positive. Kings Point is well drawn given his preferred running style but looks rather high enough in the weights. The Kiddykid, a winner over six and eight furlongs at this venue continues to hold his form well despite his advancing years. He is likely to be up there from the start but faces stiff competition on the pace here. Captain Jacksparra has not won in over twelve months yet remains above his last winning mark. The race is sure to be run to suit Fathsta who likes to come off a fast pace but the sharp nature of this track and the fact he needs luck in running makes him a tricky betting proposition. Brassini will be suited by the quicker surface. He appeared a non-stayer over one mile on soft ground at Sandown last time. Kay Es Jay is given the nomination to come home in front.
