In depth

Verdict

ROCK CHANT showed good progress on the all-weather earlier in the year and it was soft ground when beaten at Doncaster last time. But this drop in class and faster going should see Ian Williams’ charge go close and confirm earlier running at Chelmsford with Infiniti. The latter can improve back on Turf for this while Pons Aelius can also figure back at this lower level having has won over this far on the all-weather. Scottish Dancer has yet to win but is usually in the mix and is preferred to Capone.
