After a promising debut at Bath, Bellport started favourite at Lingfield but didn't make the expected progress. Rickenbacker appeared find this track and trip too short on his debut and the ground too quick at Leicester so some rain would aid his cause. ADJUVANT has winners in his pedigree and, though he'd probably prefer a bit further, Michael Bell's charge is not highly tried on debut.
