These three two-year-olds are closely matched, but the three pound concession just tips the balance in favour of Sew'N'So Character, and Michael Blanshard's colt is just preferred to Mutawaffer and Manipulator. The latter was slightly disappointing when an odds-on favourite for a nursery at Newmarket last time, having earlier bolted up at Wolverhampton. While Sir Mark Prescott's Danehill colt is almost certainly better than that last run, he faces a stiff task here. Mutawaffer created a good impression when making a winning debut at Ascot, and was not disgraced when fifth in Listed company at York on his only subsequent start, so Barry Hills' colt has to be feared. But we just side with Michael Blanshard's Sew'N'So Character. This colt by Imperial Ballet was a runaway winner of his maiden at Haydock, and has put up some decent efforts in defeat since then, most notably when going down by just a head from a mark of 95 in a nursery at Chester last time, behind the useful Asia Winds. He has already shown a liking for this unique track, and Sew'N'So Character is taken to score his second career win here.
