Verdict

Although still a maiden, King Of Cashel has some good form to his name and should be capable of getting off the mark here, with Major Effort and Tannoor likely to be the pick of his opponents. Richard Hannon's King Of Kings colt is rated 91 after just three starts, the pick of which was when he went down in a three way photo at Salisbury. He has since finished a respectable fourth in what should prove to be a hot maiden at Doncaster, and this race should prove a lot easier to win. Major Effort hails from Sir Michael Stoute's yard and this Rahy colt is entitled to improve on his two starts so far, having shaped with some promise when fifth at Warwick last time. Michael Jarvis' Tannoor was a warm favourite for his debut at Newmarket but was a big disappointment, and was a remote third to Rule Of Law at York on his only subsequent start. This Miswaki colt has clearly been showing more at home than he has on a racecourse so far, but he cannot be entirely ruled out and looks the biggest danger, but King Of Cashel has the more solid form claims and he gets a confident vote
