    Verdict

Maiden winner Sharja Queen was thrown in at the deep end on her reappearance when tailed off behind Minding in the 1000 Guineas. She makes her handicap debut today while Sightline is another unexposed filly who finished second in a lower grade at Salisbury last time. Island Flame also steps up in class having won easily at Doncaster but is preferred to Mark Johnston’s duo Yorkindred Spirit and Lido Lady, though another chance goes to EMPRESS ALI. Twice a winner over track and trip, Tom Tate’s mare was not beaten far at York a fortnight ago and should go close with a repeat effort. Mighty Lady went close on her handicap debut and makes more appeal than Wholesome.
