Bright Sun was allowed to dominate his rivals when making all at Ripon last week but has every chance of doing so again with a draw in stall one and is taken to defy his penalty with the main dangers looking to be Lucayan Dancer and Transvestite. The last mentioned needs to improve on recent evidence but John Hills has his team in good form at present so there may well be more to come from him. Torrens is entitled to be thereabouts again but may need some help from the handicapper, while Prime Contender may want a softer surface. Wester Lodge gave little sign for encouragement on his reappearance and is probably best watched so a bigger threat may come from the David Nicholls-trained Lucayan Dancer, who is better than recent form would suggest. Bright Sun has solid claims on his Ripon run though and is taken to follow up here.
