This is a competitive apprentice handicap to close the card and from a shortlist of Derrick's Dotty, Sands Of Barra and Tanforan we will side with Derrick's Dotty. The selection hails from an in-form yard, he goes on the ground and he won well last time so he ticks plenty of boxes. He does have a penalty to overcome today but he has a good draw and form at this track so he should go close. Tanforan has gone well here in the past and he hasn't been beaten far on his last two starts, so it would be no surprise to see him make the frame from a good draw. Sands of Barra has a good draw, he has won over the course and distance and he will handle the ground so he could go well at a price. Baltimore Jack hails from a shrewd yard and he is worth a market check, but for the winner we will stick with Derrick's Dotty.
