Verdict

Desert Rain has gone close in both starts so far and steps up in distance after a neck defeat at Doncaster. GYMNASTE moves in the opposite direction having finished ahead of a subsequent winner when second over a mile at Newcastle in November and the Gosden filly gets the vote to open her account in this. Highland Pass should be winning this year judged on her good effort in a conditions race at Newmarket last term while Tom Dascombe’s Cheerfilly represents a yard that have won this twice in the last three years.
