Deauville Prince won this last year but was behind Fast Dancer over 7f here last time when the latter passed the post in third but was demoted to fourth for hampering a rival. Straightothepoint was well beaten at Haydock last time but made a winning reappearance at Ripon when only a head in front of Dandyleekie. The latter has also disappointed subsequently so another chance goes to LEXI’S HERO (NAP). He has won three times at this venue and dropping down a grade now back on a winning mark, he gets the nod. Pea Shooter won at Wetherby recently but has had no luck with the draw today.
