Sir Maximilian was due to run here yesterday so that run should be monitored, though he did win this in 2016 and has the plum draw if turning up again. Duke Of Firenze lacks a recent run but was fourth in last year’s Prix de l’Abbaye and would have an excellent chance on that form. KACHY made a winning debut here in 2015 and won at this meeting two years ago. Recent wins on Polytrack have come over 6f but he is a fast starter and the outside draw may not be such a disadvantage in the small field. If he gets to the front, he may well hold on to extend his unbeaten course record. Growl was fourth here on his only previous run over 5f but needs at least another furlong. Double Up is hard to win with and looks held by the selection on recent form.
