In depth

Verdict

Mountain Brave's best is useful but she's only beaten one rival in total in her last two starts. She's been dropped just 3lb so a watching brief is advised until she's back to form. Zim Baby looks in the handicapper's grip, whilst Shepherds Way is on a career-high mark after a narrow Yarmouth success. She holds her form well though and can continue to progress, especially with forecast soft ground sure to suit. However, she's held by EY UP IT'S MAGGIE (NAP) on their Carlisle running in May, since when the latter has run a cracking third in a hot York heritage handicap. She's an improver and can score. Fizzy Feet is useful but has disappointed on all three starts here.
