There's just the chance that MIDSUMMER SUN is better than this level although he's yet to prove it. Spoken of in glowing terms at Warren Place pre-season, he was sent straight into Group company at Royal Ascot after landing an ordinary Haydock maiden. Not seen since, he is worth chancing on his return to action and market support would strengthen confidence. Gobooll only landed a modest Kempton maiden but William Haggas has few peers in placing his charges and he's definite shortlist material. Lifetime is hard to assess too on the back of an easy Hamilton maiden victory but it wouldn't surprise to see him go well, whilst Calaf is preferred of the Fahey pair as he was far from disgraced in a hot Glorious Goodwood handicap. This is a long way from winning a Ripon seller but Highlife Dancer can't stop improving at present and it would be folly to rule him out in his present mood.
