No three-year-old has managed to win this Listed contest so far in its brief history, which is a negative against Irish raider Oor Jock and Majestic Myles, who refused to settle when tried over this trip for the first time at Royal Ascot. Rerouted should do better dropping down from a mile, however, and makes more appeal than handicappers Norville and Our Jonathan, who might prefer softer ground. Awzaan is very capable on his day but no one could begrudge DONCASTER ROVER another win. David Brown's tough and genuine five-year-old has gone close on a few occasions over this trip and was unlucky to be caught right on the post by Genki over 6f at Newcastle two weeks ago. His turn of foot can see him go one better here if he is able to tuck in from his high draw.
