      Verdict

      GABRIAL has only had one run at this trip and his form is over a mile but Richard Fahey appears confident of him staying and this is far from a stiff track so he's handed the vote. After last year's Dante success, Bonfire went to Epsom with what looked a good chance in the Derby but ran poorly, as he did in the Eclipse. He reappeared with a moderate effort at Newmarket and the jury is out on him. Andrew Balding also runs Highland Knight, who was over four lengths behind Gabrial at Doncaster last month but did much better when close-up behind Trumpet Major in the Group 2 bet365 Mile at Sandown. Danadana made good progress last season, winning a strong York handicap on his final start, and his stable have made a much quicker than normal start to the season.
