Beaumont's Party has done brilliantly since joining Brian Ellison and has won on fast ground in the past, though never from a mark this high. VOODOO PRINCE, a close third in the November Handicap last year, reappeared to take what looked a good opportunity at Ripon in comfortable fashion and Graham Lee, who has ridden him to two successes, can steer him home again. Mijhaar has been narrowly beaten in Listed company but may find the ground a bit lively though conditions should be ideal for Area Fifty One, who is 5lb higher than for his comeback victory at Epsom. Sir John Hawkwood has only had five starts and made a winning debut at this time a year ago so the lack of a recent run shouldn't pose a problem for Sir Michael Stoute's progressive charge though he'll do better with a greater test of stamina. Assizes wasn't far behind him at Newmarket in August and is better off at the weights.
