Ile De Re won this last year but the going was soft which he much prefers. COUNTRYWIDE FLAME is a high-class dual purpose performer whose last outing on the Flat was when runner-up in the Cesarewitch. He subsequently won the Flighting Fifth Hurdle and he's looking well enough treated to land another big prize for John Quinn. Justification represents Ballydoyle and this progressive stayer has to be respected despite an 8lb rise for his Leopardstown victory. Simenon wasn't in the best of form when last seen over timber but has been given a break and the dual Royal Ascot winner will be primed to perfection, while Tominator won a Listed handicap here in September and is only 4lb higher. Olympiad was well beaten in the Cesarewitch but a very good winner of a tough York handicap over an extended two miles previously.
