Verdict

The beautifully bred Spinney looks to be chasing some black type and 4th place looks to be her best hope, while her stable companion's Lakatoi, whose dam Bireme, won the Oaks, is sure to be sharper for her run at Newmarket and Bright And Clear, a half-sister to Derby winner Tenby, who looks certain to be suited by this step up in trip. She could be difficult to beat. Sunray Superstar, from a yard who is having a good time with its three-year-old fillies, could be lacking in a little experience round here, but no matter what she does today, she looks one to follow through the year. Shadow Dancing, turned in a solid performance in the May Hill last year, and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip, while Mexican Hawk went into many notebooks after catching the eye in a maiden behind the Oaks favourite Islington at Newbury.
