held up, ridden and outpaced over 5f out, stayed on final furlong, never near leaders
tracked leaders, ridden over 3f out, outpaced over 1f out
chased winner, ridden over 3f out, stayed on, not pace to challenge
in touch, ridden over 3f out, weakened over 1f out
slowly into stride, soon tracking leaders, lost place 7f out, soon behind
made all, ridden over 1f out, ran on strongly
An interesting maiden but although Ezz Elkheil has shown a fair degree of ability and should be placed to advantage, he may have to settle for minor honours on this occasion as he comes up against a couple of well regarded performers. Highest, a Selkirk half-brother to a smart stayer, showed an abundance of promise on his sole outing last term and will relish this step up in trip but Oaks entry Fragrant View is a filly of immense potential and showed she was a smart prospect when chasing home Highest's stablemate Islington on her return at Newbury and can exploit a fitness advantage over her main rival.
