Not as competitive as the size of the field would imply with few coming in to the race in top form. A notable exception is Royal Cavalier who made a winning seasonal reappearance at Haydock last month and is still fairly treated off a 5lb higher mark. Trouble Mountain was successful for today's jockey at York last backend (now 5lb higher) and can't be discounted after a pleasing return. Pinchincha is well in to the veteran stage but will appreciate the fast conditions and, along with Miss Pitz, who is entitled to improve for her recent outing is another to consider.
