A difficult race in which Snowflight is chanced ahead of Gweebara and Silkie Smooth. Snowflight was particularly well backed ahead of his recent outing at Newcastle and while his performance on the day fell well below expectations, it is worth chancing that it was a one-off and at the likely odds, we are happy to play. Gweebara is sure to be popular as an inmate of Kevin Ryan. Still a maiden, he has been campaigned at the top level and cannot be discounted despite a moderate draw. Silkie Smooth has been quietly fancied ahead of her two starts. Traditionally held up, she may need to be campaigned a little nearer to the pace in order to be fully effective. Jafaru is bred to be better with age and should be watched accordingly. Mick Is Back ran incredibly green on debut and should have come on for the experience at Haydock Park. Tullythred has the plum draw but is from a yard that have had problems earlier in the season so some improvement can be anticipated. Just Oscar has shown glimpses of speed but does not appear to be anything out of the ordinary. Snowflight demands a degree of faith be kept after that heavy defeat but we are prepared to give him one more chance.
