Emirates Airline hasn't had much experience and ended last year's campaign with a close fourth in a similar class race from today's mark but Burano doesn't have the best of strike-rates and was a disappointing favourite at Doncaster, though he's won in better company off a higher mark. His stable companion MUSTAQQIL has joined the yard from John Gosden, for whom he won at Kempton in August. He only had two subsequent starts and is with the right man to exploit what could be a very lenient mark. Modernism appears best on Polytrack or fast ground but The Character has a course and distance victory to his credit on this sort of going from exactly the same mark. The latter's stable companion, Newera, hasn't won in this class and though Solo Hunter ran a cracking race over a mile in a better race at Ascot last time he's looking a few pounds high.
