Verdict

We'll know a lot more about US ARMY RANGER's Epsom credentials after this, though whether it’s doubtful if taking short odds about a Curragh maiden winner on very heavy going is any value. But the latest would-be Ballydoyle superstar has a pedigree to die for being by Galileo out of Irish Oaks winner Moonstone whose first three foals have all won at either Group or Listed level. Aidan O'Brien's second string Port Douglas has much better form but is penalised for his Group 2 victory at the Curragh and only finished fourth in the Racing Post Trophy. Biodynamic ran a fine race in the Tattersalls Millions at Newmarket last month and deserves a spot in this line-up but High Ground had his limitations exposed in the Group 3 Classic Trial at Sandown. The remaining pair will need to make major progress.
