This is not the strongest of maidens and it may fall to The Crooked Ring with Chilly Cracker and Catwalk Cleric the main dangers. David Evans has his string in good form at present and this son of Magic Ring can add to his tally, following a very promising second behind Elgin Marbles at Bath last week. It was a much improved effort from his debut run and further progress can be expected. Chilly Cracker made her debut at Warwick last month and showed enough when runner up to Justaquestion to suggest she can win a race of this nature. Catwalk Cleric hails from yard with a good line to two-year-old form and has to be given a chance on her close up fourth behind Beaver Patrol. There doesn't appear to be be anything special on breeding amongst the newcomers so we will leave it to the form horses and in particular The Crooked Ring.
