EASTERN IMPACT stands out on his recent third in the Group 1 July Cup at Newmarket - Richard Fahey's charge is the one to beat with a similar effort. Portamento won in good style here with Roudee well beaten before running well again in a Group 3 at Newbury while last year's winner Intransigent looks a big threat once again having gone very close in similar company over 7f at the track last month. Canny Kool finished ahead of Musical Comedy when fourth at Haydock earlier but the latter has since posted a better effort back at the same track and may reverse running.
