Angel Gabrial is 23lb lower in the weights than when winning the Northumberland Plate in 2014 but that was his last success. Stable companion Gabrial's King, who runs in the same colours, has only won once in 16 previous visits here though is weighted to reverse running with Good Time Ahead in July. Project Bluebook has only won once on the Flat this year but has been contesting hot handicaps over hurdles and looks a better bet than an out-of-sorts Dominating and Royal Flag, who has been getting beat in much lesser company. MASTER ARCHER hasn’t run a bad race all season and won over track and trip in June. He’s still 5lb higher but looks the one to beat.
