Doncaster Rover has live claims of following up last year's victory in this race but he was drawn in one on that occasion and has to contend with the eight box this time around. MASAMAH is better drawn and may prove to be best of Kevin Ryan's three winners whilst Bounty Box could also show up well despite having something to find on the figures. Masamah could still be improving after just 11 career starts and 5 for this yard and he was certainly impressive in landing a valuable Ascot handicap last time. He could only finish in midfield at this track prior to that but that was over five furlongs and this longer trip could see him in a different light. Doncaster Rover deserves to win as he's been performing with great credit in stronger races but his draw could prove to be undoing. Our Jonathan has the highest official rating having won a Group 2 in France on his final start at two and he didn't shape too badly on his reappearance despite returning a well beaten favourite but he has enough to prove on his first run since April. Bounty Box would be better off in a handicap but she is progressing and the form of her latest run is rock solid and she may well be able to get involved but preference is for Masamah.
