What-A-Dancer, Huxly, Zafershah and Lord Chamberlain look the main prospects here with the vote going to the last named. Trained locally by Milton Bradley Lord Chamberlain is a horse you have to catch right and with a decent run under his belt at Warwick last time out he looks set to score this time around. Only touched off by Uhuru Peak on that occasion he runs off a mark that looks favourable to him and is worth staying on the right side of. What-A-Dancer is bidding for a hat-trick after wins at Brighton and here over seven furlongs. He steps up to the mile here a trip he has yet to win over and with the rise in the weights will find this tougher. Huxley ran a blinder at Brighton when touched off by Fiveoclock Express and again is respected in similar company here as is Zafershah who won a couple of races last month but could now be within the grasp of the handicapper. So for the winner we return to Lord Chamberlain.
